Hi! We are Olga and Fernando, the creators of the System of the Zouk Atoms for Brazilian Zouk. We would love to give you the freedom and joy that we experience on the dance floor through the understanding of the Zouk Atoms. We have structured the teachings of the Zouk Atoms into a comprehensive program of 6 weeks, 30 hours each. A week-long immersion gives you the ideal setting to learn, deepen your zouk technique and truly integrate the material. If you want to progress in your zouk journey, this is one of the most rewarding investments you can make in yourself! We recommend at least an intermediate level in Brazilian Zouk to start the program (approximately 1 year of regular classes and social dancing).
Because it gives you a unique insight into the inner structure of Brazilian Zouk. Instead of collecting isolated combinations, you will learn the logic behind the patterns and develop the ability to move, connect and create with more freedom.
As a leader, you will gain more clarity, creativity and control. As a follower, you will improve your adaptability, balance and body awareness, becoming comfortable moving in any direction — even with head movements.
We, Olga and Fernando, are local teachers who work closely with our students and adapt to their individual needs. Our goal is to provide practical and applicable knowledge that helps you continue growing in your dance.

30 hours of highly practical training to learn useful teaching tools and specific curriculum for beginner, intermediate and advanced dancers. You don’t need to have attended any Zouk Atoms modules to join this training. It is a teacher training for Brazilian Zouk in general.

The Zouk Atoms are a system for understanding the structure of Brazilian Zouk.
A Zouk Atom is a three-step footwork pattern for the follower, normally danced in the regular zouk rhythm. As the dance developed, it gradually added new patterns to its repertoire. But at one point, a deeper question appeared: which are all the possible patterns we can dance while following the dynamics of Brazilian Zouk?
The system of the Zouk Atoms is the answer to this question. It explores which footwork patterns are possible in Brazilian Zouk and how these patterns relate to each other. Through this process, the Atoms reveal the inner structure of the dance: the loops, transitions and connections that the patterns create with each other.
This gives dancers a different way of learning. Instead of collecting more and more combinations and memorizing them, we understand the logic behind the patterns. This makes us free to go in any direction and create more on the dance floor.
